Description
SUPRALEX properties
- Supralex is a phosphite compound (a derivative of phosphorous acid). It is one of the fast moving active ions inside the plant. It has systemic and stability in the plant. This is due to the absence of enzymes that oxidize phosphite and convert it into phosphate.
- Supralyx works to provide energy compounds within the plant, which leads to an increase in the flowering rate.
- Supralex works on the prevention of fungal diseases through two parallel directions, They are the following:
- Direct effect : Phosphite works to prevent the respiration of mushroom cells by inhibiting the “oxidation enzymes” involved in the phosphorylation process within the energy formation cycle inside the mushroom cells, thus breaking the life and death cycle of the fungus.
- Indirect effect : Phosphite stimulates plant cells to synthesize “phytoalexins” that attack and resist the fungus as an immune response from the plant, in addition to the synthesis of polysaccharides that support the cell wall and the plant’s immune system.
